ABOUT LAS HAMACAS
The concept of Las Hamacas was first conceived by two friends (Mark England & Enrique Moeller) with the idea of capturing timeless Mexican architecture.
To complete Las Hamacas unique architecture, skilled talented labor and techniques from different parts of Mexico were recruited to be able to give the property its architectural highlights.
Upon completion, Las Hamacas became one of Sayulita's landmark properties influencing future local projects. Today, Las Hamacas houses are appointed with beautifully crafted stonework, polished cement floors, tropical hardwood arched windows and doors, spectacular palapas, enchanting pergolas, hand-painted tiles and our dramatic exposed brick cupolas (Mexican handcrafted vaulted ceilings). Some of our fascinating cupolas are an impressive 9m (23") long and 7m (26") high. All our homes are approx 3,600 sq. feet and are individually owned.
Each showcases its own colorful Mexican arts and crafts along with individual private art collections, original hand-painted murals, traditional Mexican leather furniture and comfortable oversized “Bancas” (upholstered built in cement couches) for ultimate relaxation.
All houses share a wonderful common area equipped with an outdoor kitchen and living area overlooking our peaceful "oasis" pool. The pool, located in the middle of the property, is surrounded by lush landscaping and offers two bbqs for communal use.
Relax under our big Manzanilla tree located on our private beachfront garden overlooking the ocean. As you enjoy the beach, the waves, and the impressive Sayulita sunsets, you will begin to feel the Sayulita "magic" and understand the magnetic attraction our town draws.
